We teach English because the stakes are higher than a mark. Foci Education is an English tutoring centre in Burwood, Sydney — for students who are ready to think seriously about language, and families who understand why that matters.
We are not a “tutoring centre”. We are a place where students learn to think in writing. That’s different.

Submit a draft. Receive detailed written feedback — inline annotations, band-level assessment, and audio commentary — within 2–3 business days. Available for Years 7–12
One student. One session.
Private tuition built entirely around your child — their school, their texts, their pace. Staff and Principal sessions available. Enquire to discuss the right fit.
Group tuition, done properly.
Small classes of up to six students. Discussion-based, curriculum-led, and designed for the student who thinks better alongside peers. Available for Primary through to Year 12.
A programme crafted to shape humans, thinkers and creators.
Most tutoring centres follow the school curriculum. They respond to what teachers set, move at the pace classrooms permit, and stop where the term does. Foci's curriculum was designed to work differently — not to complement what schools teach, but to build the kind of reader and writer who arrives at Year 11 already knowing how to think. The content is our own. The sequence is deliberate. The depth is the point.
