About us
Born, raised and educated in Sydney (Australia), Foci Education was started in November 2019 by two friends, David and Emma. They have both graduated from university as prospective secondary English and History teachers; Emma has graduated from The University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Arts (History & English) and Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary), and David has graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Arts (English, Linguistics, Education & Sociology). Collectively, the two have over a decade of experience in teaching English at established tuition centres where they worked directly under their respective founders. Furthermore, they have also worked in a number of Government and independent NSW high schools with a range of students with different levels of proficiency in English. In their free time, David likes to go on cafe runs and enjoys making solo dinner reservations, and Emma is into composting and loves crying at art exhibitions.
