WriteBack
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
What arrives in your inbox
WriteBack is not a score. It is a professional reading of your work by an experienced English educator — detailed enough to change how you write, specific enough to be useful before the assessment matters.
Every submission returns the following:
Verbal audio feedback with live transcription — recorded commentary on your writing, delivered as an audio file with a full Apple Notes–compatible transcript
Inline written annotations — detailed marginal feedback embedded directly in your document
Your marked work in three formats — PDF, Microsoft Word (.docx), and Apple Pages (.pages)
Academic suggestions and recommended readings — resources selected to address the specific gaps in your submission
One follow-up question — submitted via email after you have received your feedback
Submissions are accepted in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) or Apple Pages (.pages). Google Docs is accepted if downloaded in a compatible format. The word limit is 1,100 words per submission.
This is what your feedback looks like.
The annotations below are from real submissions. The ink is genuine; so is the thinking behind it.

First Mark. Full Credit
First Mark. Full Credit
For students who have not previously enrolled at Foci, your first WriteBack becomes the beginning of something more. The full amount paid — up to $250 — is returned to you as a tuition credit, redeemable from the term immediately following your submission.
It cannot be applied to the current term, used to offset an existing invoice, or transferred to another student. The credit remains active for two academic terms from the date of issue.
What it offers is a straightforward invitation: experience the standard of Foci’s feedback before you commit to a full programme. If it is what you are looking for, the credit is waiting.
Full terms and conditions apply.
Academic Integrity
With WriteBack, we believe in empowering students — not doing the work for them. Our service is designed to provide professional feedback and literacy guidance on work that students have already written themselves. We do not write, ghostwrite, or rewrite assignments.
Instead, we offer: Detailed annotations and comments on submitted drafts; Verbal and written feedback to help students revise confidently; Constructive suggestions and academic readings to support their learning.
Every piece of feedback is crafted to strengthen a student’s independent thinking, clarity, and written expression — in line with ethical tutoring and literacy practices in Australia. Students remain the sole authors of their work, and our role is purely to guide, not replace, the writing process.
At Foci Education, we’re proud to support academic growth with transparency, integrity, and accountability.
